Crimson Guard Brazilian Jiu Jitsu
Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is the art of grappling that features the emphasis on submissions, positioning, and takedowns. Whether you want to compete in BJJ tournaments, Mixed Martial Arts, learn self defense, or simply get in shape, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu covers it all. No matter your goal, your commitment is required, and the rest will be acquired through training.
A BJJ gi is required for all classes except for no gi/wrestling classes. Cups and mouth pieces are optional but suggested.
Crimson Guard offers Brazilian Jiu Jitsu for kids ages 7 & up every Tuesday at 5:30PM and Saturday at 10:00AM. Our students learn how to apply the most important concepts of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu on the mat including positioning, submissions, and takedowns. Most importantly, they get a new sense of structure and discipline, along with learning daily life lessons that accompany martial arts philosophies. Our students show growth on and off the mat through Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, gaining confidence, strength, wisdom, and new friendships throughout the way.
No Gi / Wrestling is done every Wednesday at 6:30PM and is included in the Brazilian Jiu Jitsu membership. This program is great for those intending to compete in sport BJJ or MMA, along with student athletes involved in wrestling looking to improve their wrestling skill on and off season. Although there is an emphasis on competition preparation, it is also great for a workout and learning technical skill for those who are focusing on martial arts as a hobby without the intention of competing. Grappling/MMA shorts or spats and a rash guard/compression shirt are recommended training attire.
Striking classes are Wednesdays at 5:30pm that include Muay Thai and Boxing. Muay Thai is a Thailand form of kickboxing that along with punches and kicks, includes emphasis on knees, clinch work, and elbows. The boxing portions put an emphasis on traditional boxing technique including punching combinations, footwork, head movement, and more. 16oz boxing gloves and a mouth piece are required for sparring. Members are welcome to participate in the technique and drilling portion of the classes if they do not wish to spar after. If doing so, 14 or 16oz gloves will be appropriate, and no mouth pieces needed. Hand wraps encouraged.
Don't let excuses consume your life. Make a commitment and hold yourself accountable.
